In 2011, the ETE Group began operations in Latin America through a joint venture with a Chilean group, carrying out river transport operations for timber logs along the River Uruguay to one of the world’s largest pulp mills: Montes del Plata.
Through its company Transfluvial, in which the ETE Group holds a stake alongside the renowned Chilean group Ultramar, it carries out a crucial activity for the regular supply of the Montes del Plata mill.
Over 2 million tonnes of timber are transported by river each year, a strategic partnership that reflects not only a commitment to operational excellence, but also to environmental sustainability, offering integrated river transport solutions and guaranteeing its customers a reliable, efficient and environmentally sustainable service.
