The General Cargo and Bulk Terminal of Leixões (TCGL), operated under concession by Grupo ETE, led a major vehicle loading operation on January 21 and 22, involving the shipment of 2,400 Volkswagen vehicles, produced at AutoEuropa, bound for the Port of Emden, in Germany.
At the same time, TCGL also carried out the unloading of 353 vehicles from various VW Group brands, which arrived on the same vessel and were destined for Portugal and national distribution.

In an integrated logistics operation involving TCGL and Navex—both companies of Grupo ETE—the vehicles were initially stored at Logistics Platform I of the Port of Leixões, having arrived mostly by rail. They were then transported and loaded at Dock 1 North of the Port of Leixões onto the vessel PATARA, which was managed by Navex, also part of Grupo ETE.
Nuno Lopes, Operations Director of TCGL, emphasized that “operations like this one showcase Grupo ETE’s efficiency and flexibility in delivering customized and integrated solutions that meet high performance standards, such as those of the Volkswagen Group.” He also noted that “the operation was successfully completed within the planned timeframe.”
