Grupo ETE joins the Pact for More and Better Jobs for Young People<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, Grupo ETE has joined the \u201cPact for More and Better Jobs for Young People,\u201d an initiative of the Jos\u00e9 Neves Foundation that has the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, through which Grupo ETE commits to a set of goals established until 2026, aimed at creating more attractive conditions for hiring and retaining young people, investing in their development, and guaranteeing them quality employment. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to bring about real changes in the current context of vulnerability associated with youth employment.<\/p>\n

Grupo ETE\u2019s adhesion to this pact will have an even more positive impact on its Human Resources Policy, as Grupo ETE\u2019s practices are entirely focused on attracting, retaining, mentoring, and developing young workers, particularly through the Trainee Program, which welcomes young people from various fields, from Management to Logistics, providing them with a unique experience lasting 9 to 18 months. Grupo ETE also offers Summer and Professional Internships aimed at preparing young people for the job market and the specific reality of this sector. Regarding this initiative, Andreia Ventura, Administrator of Grupo ETE, highlights: <\/p>\n

\u201cFor Grupo ETE, investing in young people is undoubtedly investing in the future. A future we intend to build by ensuring training and intergenerational knowledge transfer, which we do through our Corporate Academy \u2013 ETE Academy, a Trainee Program that allows \u201con-job\u201d training and the understanding of the Group\u2019s business and values, and Summer and Professional Internships. We aim to create value through competent, well-prepared, and adequately remunerated professionals to continue building our history, which already spans 87 years.\u201d <\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Carlos Oliveira, CEO of the Jos\u00e9 Neves Foundation, highlights that the Pact \u201cis a very important agreement for the country, bringing together companies and public entities to address a reality the country has been grappling with for too many years: the vulnerability of youth employment, even among the most qualified. Our expectation is that this commitment will result in the creation of solutions for a structural change that counters the current state of affairs and promotes a response to the needs and aspirations of young Portuguese people who want to find in our country the conditions they desire for professional progression and personal dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, the Jos\u00e9 Neves Foundation, and the Secretary of State for Labour, other Associated Entities of the Pact include the Business Roundtable Portugal Association, the National Youth Council (CNJ), the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), and the Youth Employment Observatory (OEJ), which is responsible for monitoring the Pact.<\/p>\n

The “Pact for More and Better Jobs for Young People” considers young people up to 29 years old, inclusive. The progress goals until 2026, as outlined in the document, are differentiated according to the potential progress margin of each company. The “Pact for More and Better Jobs for Young People” follows the launch of the White Paper in December 2022, an initiative by the Jos\u00e9 Neves Foundation, the Youth Employment Observatory, and the International Labour Organization for Portugal, with the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic. The document diagnoses youth employment in Portugal and its vulnerabilities and points out several priority intervention areas for creating more and better jobs for young people.
